Faith, not Fear

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7

When I think about a spirit of fear I am reminded of the book of Mark where he recorded the record of Jesus traveling by ship to the other side. Jesus had finished a long day of preaching in parables and then explaining them again to His disciples. Jesus went to the back of the boat and fell to sleep on a pillow.

While they were making there way across the sea a great storm of wind arose. The wind blew the waves against the boat. It was now full of water. Fear set in and the disciples of Jesus woke Him from His sleep saying, “Master, carest not that we perish?”

Jesus arose, rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. Then the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

Then Jesus said unto them, Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?

ALWAYS REMEMBER, FEAR IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH.

(The devil uses a spirit of fear, Jesus gives you a measure of faith.)
