Three Areas Where Satan Attacks You

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and *eschewed evil. And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. Job 1:1-2

*eschewed – (Verb) Deliberately avoid using; abstain from.

The Bible (Word of God) describes Job as a mature upstanding man who feared (loved) God and hated (shunned evil) (Job 1:1). Yet, he was still subjected to the attacks of the great dragon, that old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9a).

The three areas where Satan attacks you:

1. YOUR FAMILY – Satan destroyed Job’s family while they were feasting.

“Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all.” (Job 1:5). Yet, Satan still destroyed Job’s family.

2. YOUR FINANCES – In one day Satan destroyed Job’s finances. His wealth was gone. It is a good thing that A man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his wealth.

“Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” Job 1:20-22

3. YOUR HEALTH – Satan smote Job with boils.

“So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.” Job 2:7-10

Satan attacks the believer the same way today. There is nothing new under the sun. God ordained the sanctity of the family and the sanctity of life which includes your health. God will also sanctify your wealth when you honor Him with it, which also includes tithing and gifts. These are the areas prone to satanic attack. God sets limits on Satan’s attacks on the believers.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  John 10:10

It says the Devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy, not that he will do it. Don’t give him that power in your life.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  John 8:44
