The Sacrifices of God

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Psalms 51

The Priests who offered up the sacrifices in the Old Testament were merely a picture of the Royal Priests His church would be in the New Testament. We no longer make blood sacrifices to cover up sin. It is no longer necessary.

Jesus shed His blood once and for all on Calvary to take away our sin. We, as His Priests today, offer God a broken spirit for a sacrifice. Our spirits broken for a world that loves darkness and shuns the light.

We also offer God a broken and contrite heart. A heart broken from our own failures and sins. A contrite heart because we are convinced by the Holy Ghost of how much God hates sin.

KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST.

OFFER THE SACRIFICES GOD REQUIRES.
