Dealing With Sin

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous”

1 John 2:1

“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

1 John 2:2

As a child of God, we seek to walk in holiness. However, if we do sin, the Father has made a way for us to repent and be restored in our relationship with Him.

Our advocate (lawyer) Jesus Christ is always with us anytime we stand before God, the Father. The innocent blood Jesus shed for our sins is what makes this so.

  • Are you harboring unconfessed sins?
  • Have you taken those sins before the Father?
  • Have you thanked Jesus for being a propitiation (mercy seat) for you?
  • Are you ready to move forward and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Be careful as you reflect on the above questions. Keeping sin out of our lives is not a one-time thing. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Love with godly love.
